Rockford, Illinois is a city in Winnebago County, northern Illinois, about 90 miles northwest of Chicago. It's known as the Forest City because of its many forested neighborhoods, and is home to many cultural and historical sites, including the Burpee Museum of Natural History, the Mendelssohn Club, and the Coronado Theatre. Rockford is also the hometown of the Rock and Roll Hall-of-Fame band Cheap Trick.
